Dear Friends and Fellow OpenMPE Members,

We are pleased to announce that at long last we are ready to hold the
annual election for 5 of the 9 seats on the Board of Directors for OpenMPE
Inc. There are 6 candidates running for the 5 seats that are available.
If you are a registered OpenMPE member (with a member number) then you are
urged to cast up to 5 votes for the candidate(s) of your choice. Only 1
vote per candidate is permitted. The election will be open for a period of
10 business days or 2 weeks, and will be closed at midnight PST on Tuesday,
April 6, 2004.

If you are an OpenMPE member, but you do not know your member number, then
there is provision on our website for obtaining that information. The
website contains a brief (or sometimes extensive) biography for each
candidate to help voters select candidates of their choice. This year we
would like to thank Ron Seybold of the HP3000 NewsWire for serving as our
outside auditor for this election.

Please take the time to vote and show your support for the members (present
and future) of the Board of Directors, who are all unpaid volunteers with
the common goal of making MPE available for all users, vendors and
consultants that wish to use it for many years to come.

Our website is at: http://www.openmpe.org

Thank you.

John Wolff
OpenMPE Vice Chair
