Environment

Personally I think the brains @ HP would probably consider putting in the
most major components of MPE into their licensing agreements. I would also
tend to believe that any third party emulator would also include the major
"stuff" into their package. Otherwise they would be shooting themselves in
the foot. Now realistically who would purchase an MPE OS from XYZ company
without the party of 5 (1)mpe, 2)image, 3)query, 4)ksam/ksamxl 5)nscontrol
6)spooler) Ok that's 6 I was never that great in math anyway. But Uall get
the idea.

PS its probably allot more than 6

Yup.

While HP has not published the list of subsystems to be
included in subject "emulated environment", I am confident
that if an emulator becomes a reality it's essentially a
"done deal" that Allbase will be included. Remember: You
cannot do ODBC access to TurboIMAGE without Allbase; and
the ONLY difference between Image/SQL and the full "for
purchase" Allbase product is that the Image/SQL version does
not contain the fabled "ninth module", that allows uses to
put more than 12 MBytes of user data in an Allbase DBE...

As was previously mentioned, it makes no sense to talk
about emulating MPE without having IMAGE... and Allbase
is an integral part of Image/SQL.
