  I think one of the problems of the HP3000 is that is broke the rule of thumb, that a computer needs to be upgraded/replaced every 24 to 36 months.   I know of a lot of companies that have been running the same HP3000 for 10 years without a reboot.  :-)  
  
OK, so that may be a bit of a strech, but you get the point.
