        I wish to thank everybody for the positive reactions and
comments about me.  In particular I would like to thank John for his
kind words below, but it really was a group effort and continues to be
so.  I did not get Joe's posting (I have him marked as SPAM), nor do I
care to know what it said.  I will allow our two reputations and actions
stand for themselves.  Ron Horner's posting was right on.  My new
"world" is very busy and exciting.  The only connection I still have to
the e3000 world is this list, but I only get to read it about once a
week (if that).  I wish all the candidates the best of luck and hope the
strongest board possible will emerge.

Obviously you are upset with Jon Backus. However, only Jon can speak to
your charges. I hope he contacts you.

I do not know Jon personally, but I do know there would not be an
OpenMPE without Jon. I can, and have, questioned OpenMPE's tactics and
strategy, but there would be no tactics or strategy to question had it
not been for Jon single-handedly creating the organization in the
aftermath of 11/14/2001. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for that.
