We use them throughout. They are an absolute necessity to enforce VAX
emulator licensing in the Windows based PC market. For the same reason we
dropped the freeware hobbyist versions (significant commercial use).

We have found a way to use the same dongle for authorizing layered products
running on the emulators as well.
