I'm currently actively working on getting the newsgroup "comp.sys.openmpe"
created, with Adam's assistance. As Adam noted below, this could take 2 - 3
months because of the procedure of posting a Request for Discussion (RFD)
for a period of time and then a Call for Votes (CFV) within the newsgroup
management community. The initial RFD has already been generated. Once
this process is completed I will work with Adam to get the bi-directional
gateway setup.

Thanx,
        Jon

I just realized that I never cross-posted this to the OpenMPE list.
