Beginning today, the OpenMPE 2009 Board of Director's Election has
officially begun! The voting period extends until February 27th.

Please visit http://www.openmpe.org/Member_voting_ballot.htm to cast your
ballot. There are links on that page to review each candidate's
information.

Please note that you must know -- and use -- your membership number in order
to vote. If you've forgotten your membership number, please send me a
private email. If you're not a member (oh say it's not so!) please visit
http://www.openmpe.org/Membership.htm first.

As in years past, Ron Seybold has graciously agreed to be our independent
election observer. The Board continues to be very grateful to Ron for his
passion for MPE and his willingness to help!

Before anyone asks -- yes, there are four open seats and there are four
people running. And yes, we ARE having an election. The Board is governed
by our by-laws (http://www.openmpe.org/Bylaws20040122.html) which requires
us to hold a Board of Directors election each year. As the by-laws are a
mandate from the membership, the Board is honoring this requirement and
performing it's due diligence.

Vote early (but don't vote often! :-)
