Joseph, your fixation is now getting old. The deal with Backus is done.
Why do you feel the need to keep reliving it? I would also suggest to you
that if he were to get tired of it, he might have a legal recourse.

As to the election results, the board is discussing the issue. My opinion
is that if you really need to see them, fine here they are. I just hope
that those who are as passionate about the election results are as
passionate when it comes time to SUPPORT OpenMPE. It's easy to point the
finger and get all jumping about some wrong that people think we have done.
At least we are trying. We are not perfect, but we are trying. Might I
remind you that HP holds us captive just like you? It's time to get to
work. How about the members have a public show of support. Put our link on
your websites. Make sure that people know that you support the motion that
one corporation should not control an operating system. You want to hold
the board to a higher standard; well I say how about we do the same. You
demand from us, we should demand from you. Show some support and let people
know that you do not want MPE to go away. Now lets get to work.

It's a shame that no one will answer the vote totals....

This is the kind of organization that JON BACKUS had started... Lots of
secrets
lots of NDA's Lots of useless hope for MPErs and now this.

I do not care if you do not like me. I am a registered voter and want to
know.
Are you getting board with the old board.

Common guys! I agree too many e-mails on this subject. End it!

All election results of the government officials a published and public
knowledge, even the President of the United States.

We do not live in a country where there is a dictatorship! It is Freedom of
Speech, unseal the results and let's move on...

The votes COUNT should be informed, once all votes are counted. It's not
good to keep it a secret. Too many emails regarding this issue. An email
should be sent with the vote counts and quit making such a big deal.
Otherwise, it takes away from the value of the OPEN-MPE group.

This is my personal opinion.

Hold on a second!

Who specifically said that the Board refused to release the vote
count? What has been said is that it hasn't been done in the past.
The resolution at the last meeting was to release the results in
alphabetical order. Of course, this will be on the next meeting
agenda to discuss and do something different if the Board so
resolves. And if the Board does resolve to release the votes, I'll
move that Ron Seybold, as the election certifying party release and
certify the numbers, just to show that the Board is not attempting
anything untoward.

But, for crying out loud, what's the big deal? Everyone that wanted
to be on the Board is on the Board. What does it matter how many
votes went to each individual? It doesn't. Each Board member now has
a single vote. It doesn't matter one bit if one member got more votes
than another. He/she still only has one vote.

All you conspiracy theorists are doing is making more work for us,
giving us less time to focus on what's important. The new Board has
only just been seated - give them at least one meeting to do
something before complaining.
