"One of HP's more popular line of digital cameras, the Photosmart Series,
has gotten much bad press lately. Just last week I went to download XP
drivers for my Photosmart 215 cam and was quite surprised to find there was
no file download, but rather a link to a the 'purchase' section of HP. They
wanted me to actually purchase a CD from them for about $15. The reasons
given to me over the phone were "our partners who provide the photo imaging
software for the Photosmart series no longer allow us to distribute their
software online." I felt this was utter BS and gave them my 2 cents on the
situation. Seems they are doing the same thing for the HP Scanners as my
dad had to go through the same process. This has pretty much been the last
straw for me with HP. I've gone through 3 burners, a scanner, a digi-cam, a
Jornada, and a computer. No more HP for me."

Hopefully HP will iron this out and get back to offering good service to go
with some easy-to-use products.
