Have you tried separating the command list with semi-colons
might work ?

Subject: Re: [HP9000-L] Changing From HP3000 to HP9000

I know the answer to this is going to be very simple but it just seems to be
eluding me this morning. I'm on HPUX 11.00 in the Korn shell and I want to
pass information into a program using input redirection but I want to pass
individual commands instead of a file. For example the following logic
works just fine:

:cat inputfile
command1
command2
command3
:utility <inputfile >outputfile
:cat outputfile
command1 results
command2 results
command3 results
:

The problem is I don't want to have an inputfile laying around even for a
short period of time. Since I already know what commands I want to pass to
the utility, it seems like I should be able to use something like:

:utility <"command1 command2 command3" >outputfile
:cat outputfile
command1 results
command2 results
command3 results
:

Is the logic sound? What syntax should I try? Thanks in advance.

P.S. With regret, I had forgotten about the MPE/HP-UX
cross-reference tables posted by Mark Bixby.
Fortunately, they're linked from Robelle's home page.
As they're in the NEWS section (which may change), I've
included the direct links here:
