This is not a flame, just a kind reminder (and personal opinion).

When posting replies to the list, please consider to spend a few
seconds on trimming down the quotes from the original message (or
nested messages) to only a small number of lines, instead of the
complete, verbatim copy, including all banners, trailers, etc.

This does not only preserve list bandwidth, but also makes the
threads/postings much more readable, especially for people reading
the digest version or looking up threads in the archive.

This suggestion applies to on-topic as well as off-topic threads.

Just keep in mind that the trimming usually means only a few seconds
for the sender whereas it saves a lot for the large number of readers.
