Are you restoring from tape? If you are, the only thing I can think of is
perform a VSTORE. VSTORE is just like RESTORE accept it will only read the
tape and report what is on it. No files will be restored. Use the parm
SHOW=DATES. Unfortunately when working with tape, there can be a lot of
manual tasks.

Subject: How do you selectively restore only the most recent files on a
system.

I am restoring files from 2 different systems and want to restore only the
most recent source and compiled programs from each. The same file names
appears on both systems, but have been modified at different times. Does
anyone have an idea on how to do this. Is there a tool readily available or
some VESOFT routine.

Thank you,
