From MPEX, you can issue the command,

     print <filesetlist>; search="<string>";context= -m, +n

where m is the number of lines before the target, and n is the number
of lines following the target to list

Many variations exist for <filesetlist> and the ';search=' option, but you
can ferret those out with MPEX's online help facility.

Subject: Cmd to do Qedit search?

Is anyone aware of a Qedit or Mpex command file that will search for a
particular string in a text file, then print or list a pre-selected
number of lines before and/or after the line that the string appears on?

Appreciate any and all help.
