If I recall correctly you can't go straight from 3.0 to 5.0, you need to
do a 4.x upgrade in between.

That depends on a number of things. How large is your system in terms
of CPU and disk? What is your current LDEV 1 device? I believe 4.0 FOS
goes over the 500 Mb limit in terms of what must go on LDEV 1.
When I did the 3.0 to 4.0 upgrade it was on a 960 with ~ 12 gig of disk,
all of that being FL drives. That took 36 hours.
The 4.0 to 5.0 upgrade was done on a 987 with ~ 22 gig of disk, mixed
SCSI, SCSI-2 and FL. That took about 28 hours.
Those time estimates do not include the time I took doing two full
backups of the system and cutting two CSLT's.
