Brice you seem to have taken my post as a personal attack, this is
exactly the opposite of my intent.

------------------

Chuck, I had presumed your words were intended to encourage me to 'take
the high ground'. Something I am not inclined to do as I believe in a
'level playing field'. Previous to Wirt stooping to name calling, I
respected, but disagreed with him. I have changed my mind. He has
shown lapses in Scientific Integrity, so although he has profound
credentials and extensive education, I simply do not trust what he
puts up here since I think he omits facts he is uncomfortable with.
When these facts are brough before him, he is silent.

Just as the 'marginalized scientists' are acting as lobbyists for the
fossil fuel companies, people like Wirt are acting as lobbyists for
the opposition.

Thus, no real scientists are being listened to, which is why I have said
this whole matter has been 95% politicized. When that happens, no one
involved can be trusted until a thorough examination of their objectivity
can be made, and with the complexity of the Climate, this just cannot be
done.
