First,  I agree completely with Steve's postings on the 918PM subject.  As
an answer to his power supply failure. I was one of the three, but I don't
blame the problem on HP.  I had a series 70 power supply burned up by a
lightning strike.  Apparently, it hit the transformer no more than 100 ft.
from the computer room -- popped all the breakers in DPS, blew all the
fuses in the 70 and tape drive, and burned up the PS on the 70.  HP fixed
it before the end of the day.

I'm just glad we had a 3k, which allowed a "lights out" batch processing
during the night.  I'm sure I would have had more than a headache if an
operator would have been in that room when the lightning hit!  (Hey, maybe
a new reason to have "lights out" operation and a 3k -- employee safety :)
