Try www.sambaix.com and look in the Document Library section.
There is a document titled "Windows 2000 and SambaiX Issues"
which has two different methods you can choose from.

How? I've looked high and low to no avail. I found a Microsoft tech note
explaining how to enable clear text passwords but the fix did not work on
our Win 2k machine.

Does Windows/2000 also need the decrypted password
registry change like W/98 and W/95 do for Samba/iX?
