Is there an implementation of Domain Name Services (DNS) available
on 5.0? Right now we are just interested in allowing the machine to
be a client, since we already have a name server set up at our site.

I can't find mention of this in the FTP User's Guide. Is this what
PROBE is for?

If there are no DNS services available, are there any impassable
barriers to writing one using Berkeley Sockets? Again, we are
assuming for now that we just want to be able to query a name server,
not become a name server ourselves.

Any replies appreciated. I would prefer an e-mail reponse if possible.
