Is anyone using an XP48 or XP512 with the SCSI-Fibre Channel Fabric Router
(A5814A opt 003) in a production environment? I have always had some
objections to this solution due to 1) lack of SAN support, i.e., FC
switch/hub; 2) lack of performance; and 3) Cost.

The most recent HP3000 Config Guide indicates support for the Brocade
Silkworm, thereby eliminating objection #1. I am looking for feedback on
Performance and support. I already know about the costs. Basically, what has
been anyone's real life experiences with this configuration? How were the HP
engineers who installed and configured the products? Are they reliable?

Looking forward to native fibre-channel adapter support!!!

TIA for your feedback!
