A friend of mine told me a few years ago that network certification
practically guaranteed you a job.  A the time Novell was the Server
of choice, he suggested becoming a CNE was what was needed.

Since that time more companies have made a bid at the Network/Server
market.  I suggest finding one of the more popular brands, and getting
certified on it.
