well, inspite of what your watch or pager might say...it's
certainly past monday :-)  so (drum-roll) here are the
voting results...along with some 'comments'....

release the hp-ib drivers?  2 yes votes, 7 no votes.  the
'no's have it!  there was also one vote for finding some
sort of hardware (black-box-ish) solution.  there were two
votes for enabling parallel printing.  what is *very* clear
is the need for robust, dependable printing!

i'll think up some clever wording for another ballot item
and get it submitted.  *but* this (imo) is really a sig
print issue, so i'm going to toss the ball over to steve
