FWIW: I found an information bulletin that states "Making shipment of the
10,000th HP 3000
Business Computer -- now the fifth most widely used business computer in the
nation -- more than 1700 HP employees formed a huge "10,000" on an open
field, the site of a planned new office building here, then released 10,000
helium-filled balloons into the autumn sky.

Can that number be right? I mean, if the HPe3000 is over 25 years old, that
would mean that, on average, less than 400 have been sold each year. Any
idea where the number came from?
