It works for me...here's a connection from our RS6000 to our HP3000/917,
5.0:
ftp lisa
Connected to lisa.denkart.com.
220 HP ARPA FTP Server [A0007003] (C) Hewlett-Packard Co. 1990
Name (lisa:sieler): mgr.www
331 Password required for MGR.WWW. Syntax: ,acctpass
Password:
230 User logged on
ftp> cd /WWW/WWW/httpd_1.3/conf
250 CWD file action successful.
ftp> pwd
257-"/WWW/WWW/httpd_1.3/conf" is the current directory.
257 ",MGR.WWW,BIN" is the current session.
... so, I was able to cd with no problem. The directory in question
contains a lowercase file name, mime.types ... so, I'll try to get it...
ftp> get mime.types
200 PORT command ok.
550 NONEXISTENT GROUP (FSERR 51)
...hmm, this surprised me the first time I saw it, then I realized that
the darn FTP fouling me up, so I tried:
ftp> get ./mime.types
200 PORT command ok.
150 File: ./mime.types opened; data connection will be opened
226 Transfer complete.
10167 bytes received in 0.03191 seconds (311.2 Kbytes/s)
...this worked.
