Others have mentioned that QTP is a natural resource hog (and I would
agree), there are other things to consider.
Because of your SET LOCK FILE REQUEST, it is possible that you are
creating a resource contention. If another user wants to lock
EXTRACT-EXPIRING then the QTP run will be given favor by \the dispatcher
(i.e. more CPU time) in an effort to release the contention, even if you
tell it to run in the EQ.
Is it an absolute requirement to lock the file for the duration of the
extract?
