Subject: RE: [HP3000-L] How many I/O slot (FW-SCSI) can a 969 have?

Actually dusting off the

"HP3000 900 Series Computer Systems Ordering and Configuration Guide
Addendum - International Version" effective August 1998

It says :

For additional I/O cards in all but the 989KS Server's chassis, the
9x9KS chassis comes standard with a 32MB/s ( peak ) HP Precision Bus (
HP-PB ) which supports two single ended and two double-high add-on I/O
cards accessible from the back of the server. For added I/O capacity or
additional I/O throughput, in all but the 989KS Server's chassis, the
9x9KS chassis supports the addition of a second 32MB/s HP Precision Bus
bringing the total add-on I/O card capacity in the chassis to eight I/O
cards (four single-high and four double-high cards).

Regards,

Nige...

From memory it's 5, 4 additional full height cards + 1 which is already
on the core IO, that's the default setup although you can expand with a
SCSI expander.
