Hi

I would like to stick my $.02 in here. I just tested a DDS1 (60m) tape
in our DDS3 tape drive and was able to store to it just fine. It is a
HP tape and is marked as a DDS1 data cartridge and the tape drive is the
        same model asked about (HPC1537A).

Denis and Art Frank tell me that you can't write to a 60 m DDS-1 in a DDS-3
drive. OK, that answers the question, now why can't this be mentioned in the
User Guide? Geez...

Thanks for all the replies. I should give up on the ESC and stick to this
forum ;-)

Cheers all,
