Sigh.   Wish I could vigourusly disagree.

Talked with a HP marketing wonk.   This person indicated that the
standards are an evolving document, and is therefor, open to change.
Keep the cards and letters coming.

Now this would be interesting.   I wonder if mostly HP 3000 types are
the ones most likely to give feedback to HP?

That may just mean that '3000 users are less likely than users of
other systems to roll over and just accept wierdness, fads, poor
practice and quality in the software world.
Growing up will do that to a person.
