Hi HP3000-L,

Perl 5.6.1 is now available for MPE as HP freeware:

http://jazz.external.hp.com/src/hp_freeware/perl/

As I mentioned last week, this work is on behalf of the SIB, and the part
about Perl as a supported HP product still remains "under consideration".

This Perl distribution is newer than what's available from bixby.org, and
ONLY consists of the 5.6.1 vanilla distribution without any bundled add-ons.
