In retrospect my equating "inactive" with "at : prompt" was clearly
a bit of a stretch on my part;  only part of the problem space...

...  and of course for $$:  MPEX;  using whatever combination
of MPEX ABORTJOB and the "Time" variables, operators, and
functions in IF statements that MPEX can deal with....
