Just a FYI:
The MTU on the 3000 somewhat correlates to the NMMGR Network Segment Size parameter.
Path: NETXPORT.NI.LAN1
[1514 ] Network Segment Size (Bytes)
The value of 1514 is an internal buffer representation of the 1500 byte frames for ethernet or 802.3 plus some overhead bytes.
1514 is the default/recommended value for 10MB and 100BT networks... changes from this value may (YMWV) result in less than optimal performance for these link types.
If your switch/router vendor says to decrease this value to work with their equipment, they probably have a bug they are working around.
