While I appreciate your point, what difference does it really make if
HP/CSY isn't going to do the enhancement anyway? In a way, it just
makes them look bad for now listening.
Besides, the individual SIG ballots still reflect all the things "we"
say we want, with these votes giving a pretty good indication of what's
important to more of "us". From these, HP can pretty easily tell the
things we would want if all things were possible.
