Subject: Re: [HP3000-L] How to set Default GATEWAY.

I'm a little confused. Do I add the "@" sign in place of A,B,C,D and then
the I.P. address or just "@" and the system uses my Neighbor gateway as my
default gateway. What we have presently is two networks that need to
connect to the HP3000. I can ping the one that is assigned to my neighbor
gateway with no problem, but when I try to ping the other, the HP3000
doesn't even see it. I have never been at a shop with two separate
networks, so I have never faced this before.

TIA
Donald

Hi,
On screen #158 in NMMGR: Neighbor Gateway Reachable Networks
(Path: NETXPORT.NI.SQUHNET.INTERNET.HPRS in your case)
Press the 'Help' key (F7) and read this:
IP network address
List the IP addresses of all the networks that you
will be able to reach through the gateway you are
configuring. You also use this field to indicate
whether or not the gateway is to serve as a default
gateway by entering an at sign (@) to specify that
     it is a default gateway.
