Hi all,

Last night, someone on the office cleaning crew decided that the power
strip connected to our UPS -- the one that runs our Internet server,
among other things -- was a more convenient place to plug in his/her
vacuum than the wall outlet on the opposite wall, even though it
necessitated unplugging the server to do so. While I caught this problem
within a few minutes of it happening, I failed to notice another problem
that kept the web server from restarting.

That's been taken care of, so the threaded archive is available again.
The indexes for the search features are currently being rebuilt, and
should be complete by 2100 GMT.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

-- Bruce

PS. [For HP3000-L] The problem was that we had a virtual host for an
address for which we don't control the DNS. That domain name had been
taken down by its owner sometime since the last server restart (about six
months ago), and the unresolvable domain name kept Apache from
initializing.
