Well, like my FTP question, I've gotten Samba to work when streaming the
listener jobs JSMB and JNMB on their own, but I just can't seem to make the
mojo that will cause INETD to love 'em like a rock.

Here are the lines I have in my inetd.conf (linked to INETDCNF.NET.SYS)
file:

# netbios_ssn stream tcp nowait MGR.SAMBA /SYS/SAMBA/SMBD smbd -D
# netbios_ns stream udp nowait MGR.SAMBA /SYS/SAMBA/NMBD nmbd -D

(They're currently commented out 'cause they don't work.)

Here's the applicable lines from my /etc/services (linked to
SERVICES.NET.SYS) file:

netbios_ns 137/tcp # NetBIOS Name Service
netbios_ns 137/udp #
netbios_dgm 138/tcp # NetBIOS Datagram Service
netbios_dgm 138/udp #
netbios_ssn 139/tcp # NetBIOS Session Service
netbios_ssn 139/udp #

According to everything I've read thus far, this ought to work. The JINETD
job even has a "SETVAR TZ 'CST6CDT'" line in it to make sure the server
programs are happy, but still nada.

Would some kind soul please point out where I have gone awry?

Many TIA,

Curtis
