No. It is my understanding that private volume groups must have an
identically named directory structure on the system volume group
and that if the private VS is not mounted then this is where things
will go.  I did this set up some time in 96 or 97 and haven't had
to revisit it since then so I will not pretend to remember what I
once must have known.

However, as LArs as pointed out, this is probably simply a
misunderstanding on my part brought about by close exaimination of
the store display and seeing things that I did not expect with some
files in a group having restrictions of hal_data and other of disc.
 I was concerned that items were not located in the private volumn
and my current knowledge it too far out of date to depend upon for
resolving this by myself.
