Yes and no. Roger wrote, later on:

I can certainly relate. For a very long time, I have also invested
a lot of effort and attention trying (in vain, unfortunately) to
stimulate some kind of "effort" by HP regarding its inventions, MPE
and IMAGE. It is, indeed, remarkable that MPE and IMAGE managed to
live so long (while helping thousands of companies stay quietly
competitive in their industries, all over the world) in spite of
HP's "efforts".

For which the hp3000 community is grateful. The sharing of interesting
things is, after all, the charter of hp3000-L.

"We"? I was just minding my own business, quietly and peacefully. Given
my current work schedule, I am afraid I don't have time for any
Mac-Windows conversations (even though they can be quite entertaining).
There is just so much excellent (and VERY useful) MPE-Image work still
to be done, and I want to do it ASAP, while it can still help MPE-Image
users. Stay tuned.

In addition, there is so much research to be done in terms of creative and
fun companies with which to work in the future. I gave everything to HP
in the past, and I am glad I did. There is still a lot of enthusiasm left
in me, but I want to be VERY careful and VERY selective regarding the
future object(s) of my enthusiasm. I certainly don't want to squander my
passion.

Steadfastly,
