Gilles, I did NOT get the opportunity to test an CSLT. We were in the middle
of
creating this tape when the DDS3 failed to accept write enabled tapes.
We were attempting the 7.5 power patch 2 tape, and it is the latest power
patch 2 after
the recall.

You CAN update from DLT on a A/N-class HPe3K as long as it's a
FWSCSI-attached one.
For an non A/N-class HPe3K, you CANNOT boot from a FWSCSI-attached DLT, but
you CAN from a SESCS-attached DLT.
BTW, is the powerpatch 2 you have one that has been released from hold by
HP?
If so, is it identified differently from the original pp2?
