Quest Software's NetBase/Client API's are much faster and connect to
multiple servers. Minimal overhead and cache records so the speed is night
and day versus any ODBC on the market! Get a FREE 30-day trial copy and

Subject: MB Foster ODBC driver doesn't release memory

 Hi,

I have MB Foster ODBCLink/32 driver (ver 5.57.09.00).
I open dataset on the huge table (in my case ~15,000,000 records) and
go record by record. After while I notice memory consumption on the
client computer. Application allocates more and more memory until
dataset is closed. As I understand this memory is allocated for
dataset cache. So I tried to open my query in the unidirectional mode
(doesn't allow backward navigation) - the same result.
I can split my dataset onto several small ones, but it will make my
procedure more complicated and slower.
So I wonder - does somebody know how to solve such kind of problem?

Sincerely,
Alexander.
