i've only experimented with it, but it does seem to work.  if you  poke around
on the txt2pdf web site, you'll find a comment from a certain well-known csy
person (hi, mark! :-) regarding this script and mpe carriage-control.  my take
on the comment is....txt2pdf may not work on files with carriage control <yuck>
perhaps someone else knows more about this.....?

for the little that i did, i thought it was pretty cool.  i sent a plain text
file thru txt2pdf and got a real pdf out on the other side.          - d
