My -L friends.....

I'm still a problem-owner, in search of a solution.

Does anyone out there know of any unusual FTP activity that needs to occur
on the 3000 for it to be able to transfer files between it and an NT 4.0
server? I just FTP's from the 3000 to a non-HP UNIX server, and it's all
good.

I'm sure my answer's hiding in a manual somewhere, but going to the books is
such a sign of weakness......:)

I think I'm on a later version....[A0009001]

I'm also not quite sure Windoze NT isn't the culprit....

Thanks again!

I've had this problem before. I updated the version of FTP.ARPA.SYS and the
problem went away. I dont remember what version I used to have but this is
the one that works.

Ready, set,....OOPS....forgot to mention that my problem STARTS when I see
230 User usfwsp logged in.

It seems that my session 'locks-up'...enter does nothing, and then The
Timeout kicks in.

Thanks, Wirt....

All that generally means is that you haven't conducted any PUTs or GETs (or
DIRs or whatever) during the last 900 seconds after you logged on, and thus
the remote server automatically signs you off.

This setting is configurable on every FTP server but 900 seconds (15
minutes)
is a surprisingly common setting.
