There are some features currently on 6.0 which have not moved to 6.5. as I
remember there were some items which would function in 6.0 pp1 which did not
make it into 6.5. I think it was related to the abortj script found on the
jazz server there may be others. have these been rolled into 6.5 pp1 and
tested?

Subject: MPE/iX 6.5 PowerPatch 1 Release Date

Hi all,

Just got the following from "HP Smartfriend" and thought I'd pass it on.
The last I heard, 6.5 PP1 was coming out "sometime around October," so
this is welcome news. :-)

> Hi Patrick Santucci,

> HERE'S THE LATEST FROM HP SMARTFRIEND:
<snip>
> --- MPE/IX RELEASE 6.5, POWERPATCH 1 COMING IN SEPTEMBER (Article)

> For those of you who have been waiting for PowerPatch 1 before updating

> 1 is expected to be available in September, 2000. PowerPatch
> 1 is a collection of General Release patches which
> have been released and tested with MPE/iX 6.5. The MPE/iX 6.5
> base release contains numerous performance and capacity
> enhancements that will allow for more growth in high- end enterprise

Sorry for any wrap (it should end with "=22392"). Do read the article at
the link, since it contains, among other things, the end of support date
for MPE/iX 6.0.

Regards,
Patrick
