In this article Gov. William Bradford refers to "the ravages of the
savages". IIRC the "indians" helped the Pilgrims survive and only
became "savages" later when the Pilgrims wanted their land. Nowhere did
good old "Bill" mention the Pilgrims "ravaging of the savages".
