In addition to Gray Paveza's excellent suggestions, make sure the CE brings
the power unit not just the processor board.

Subject: [HP3000-L] Processor Upgrade

We are getting ready to install a new processor. This is going to
include a chassis upgrade since we are going from a 969-200 to 979-200.
We currently have two processors and are upgrade to three. Our current
operating system is 5.57.

This is my first processor upgrade.

Does anyone have any helpful advice to make this transition as smooth as
possible?

Thanks in advance,
