For your info.  The Netscape FastTrack Server being ported to the 3000 does have
LDAP,  The description of it from their web site is as follows:

Comprehensive server administration. FastTrack Server shares a common web-based
administration interface with the Netscape SuiteSpot servers. In addition,
because it supports the Internet-standard Lightweight Directory Access Protocol
(LDAP), users and groups can be shared across servers and managed by existing
directory services that can be accessed across the Internet.
