A C1504B is NOT a DDS2 drive and does not support 120m tapes. A C1504B
is a DDS1 drive with (DCLZ) hardware compression. Until compression
is enabled on the C1504 it will act exactly like a C1503. The
availability of compression is a function of the dip switches on the
bottom of the drive. The choices are compression disabled, compression
enabled (at powerup), or compression disabled at powerup but may
be enabled by (devctrl.mpexl.telesup) software.
