In late April, we order two identical 918 systems from our friendly
local HP Channel Partner. We specified the software config we
needed which included SharePlex/NetBase so we could shadow our
data across a frame relay network (one computer is in Ohio and the
other is in Texas). The computers were delivered in two weeks, and
we just installed them last week. The frame relay network goes in
this week. The problem? We're still waiting for the SharePlex/NetBase
software. The original packing list shows the software is on
backorder! What's to backorder? Cut me a tape and ship it! Does
anyone know what's going on here? I've been in touch with the
Channel Partner and they can't seem to figure out what's going
on. Guess they will when we withhold payment on that net 30
invoice (due this week).
Is this a "time-honored" tradition with HP? (I've never had the
"pleasure" of ordering new machines before). Thanks for any
help or insights anyone can provide.
