These days it sounds like there should be a program that does the
following:

1)  If your HP3000 has a U.S. Zip Code then

2)  it should be able to go out on the Internet and

3)  grab the City and State from the U.S. Postal Service's web site!

(Why bother with your own database?)

(Of course, neither am I addressing speed here.)

Alternatively, you could otherwise have a program that

1)  Should be able to go out on the Internet and

2)  grab ALL the Cities, States, and their corresponding Zip Codes from
the U.S. Postal Service's web site and put it into a local table!

3)  Daily!

(Now I'm addressing speed.)
