We can let 10+years of UN sanctions being violated pass unnoticed....or
the time-honored tradition of appeasement comes to mind....the UN has
proven to be the international disappointment many thought it was.

Who said it...'those who fail to remember history are doomed to repeat
it'....

True, but who decides when it is time to attack another country?
Just the President of the USA, the UN?
WHO?
That is the main problem here
Somebody should have attacked Yugoslavia or Milosevic years earlier but
it
was of nobodies interest.
Russia wants to attack some former countries like Georgia because of
Terrorist.
Where to start and where does it end?
That can't be decided by just Mr. President.
