Nope,

But if you do a lot of web browsing, you could burn up your disk space
in cached files, cookies, etc.

Perhaps he or somebody else has had problems because of applications
with memory leaks on Win98 and after 6 months of continuous use.   :-)

P.S. I may have some used bridges that I could broker a sale for, so if
you are one of the people who have gotten continuous use of Win98 and
time to spare e-mail me.. I'll tell you where you can find the
bridges...
