My smb.conf file has me as:
[jpenney.tecsup]
comment = Home of Java Apache Server on MPE/iX
guest ok = no
write ok = yes
path = /TECSUP/JPENNEY
preserve case=yes
create mode = 0755
map archive = no
user = jpenney.tecsup
only user=yes
When I attempt to map a network drive, I see me as "jpenney.tecsup" in the shared directories display, yet when I click OK to map the dirve, I receive "The network name cannot be found". Yet it is displayed before me on the Map Network Drive screen.
I have been wrestling with this problem for 10 days, since I uinstalled 7.0, hence 2.0.7 Samba. I can logon as certain people, but not as myself.
Any assistance will be rewarded with the libation of your choice, next time you're near Seattle!
Kindest regards
